Terms & Conditions
Membership entitles an individual to use the club facilities subject to the club rules and regulations.
Membership
All members can use the leisure club at their own risk, following an induction.
A health declaration is included in the membership application, it is advised that all members read this information carefully before participating in any exercise.
Where the selected payment option is standing order , membership will continue to run month on month (minimum terms apply to certain membership categories) until notification of cancellation is received (via email) with one month’s notice provided. Once a membership is cancelled a rejoining fee is payable should the member wish to rejoin at a future date.
All couples and family memberships must reside at the same address.
An individual with a Junior Membership will change to an adult Individual Membership on becoming 16 years old.
All children must be registered members. Any person under age of 16 is classed as a child and they are not permitted to use the club with being accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them at all times. All children are prohibited from using the gym, steam room and sauna must be supervised in the pool and changing areas at all times.
It is the responsibility of the registered member to inform Scolton leisure via email of any changes in membership, health or personal details.
Scolton Leisure Memberships are non transferable.
A membership shall not be used by any other person than the member to whom it was issued. Scolton Leisure reserves the right to withdraw a membership if it is misused.
Members must sign in at reception on each visit before using the facilities.
Members are permitted to bring guests but this must be pre booked and paid in advance. The registered member is responsible for their guest whilst using Scolton leisure club.
Membership payments are non refundable, unless under exceptional circumstances where individual cases will be considered.
Rules and regulations
Smoking ,vaping and use of any drugs or consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden in the leisure club areas.
Strictly no food and drinks in or around the poolside areas.
Scolton Leisure reserves the right to deny entry to individuals if they fail to follow the guidance of the staff on duty.
Scolton Leisure reserves the right to reject or terminate any membership application or renewal thereof and to suspend or cancel a membership due to misconduct or causing danger or disrespect to other users.
Members behaviour within the club must not constitute a security or safety hazard to themselves or others .
Appropriate swimming attire and gym clothing must be worn at all times.
Closed footwear must be used in the gym.
Please read and respect all the notices displayed in the gym and pool areas.
Scolton Leisure reserves the right to specify on what days & times, entry to the club and the use of its facilities and equipment, will be available to members. They also have the right to declare facilities and equipment unfit for use and decide opening and closing times of the club and for each facility within it.
Scolton Leisure reserves the right to close all or sections of its facility without refund of fees paid. Scolton Leisure will endeavour to provide 7 days notice for all pre planned maintenance / refurbishment work.
Bookings for all classes and one to one sessions may be taken up to a week in advance via whats app or email.
A late cancellation / non-attendance charge may be applied to all members who cancel late (within the limited allowance of a booking), or fail to show for a pre-booked class/session.
Scolton Leisure reserves the right to amend or withdraw exercise class times, days & instructors without prior notice. Scolton Leisure will endeavour to keep all members informed of any changes to the advertised programme.
It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that they are medically fit for any exercise they partake of within the facility. Members who have a history of heart disease, back problems, high blood pressure or other known or suspected medical conditions should seek advice from their doctor before embarking on physical exercise or using the sauna, steam room facilities.
All members use the facilities and equipment at their own risk and Scolton Leisure does not accept responsibility for any harm or injury to any member however caused.
Scolton Leisure accepts no responsibility for the property of members using the facilities. We would like to remind members that staff are not permitted to accept valuables or property for safekeeping.
All lost property found in the leisure club should be handed into reception. Lost property will be disposed of after two months.
The fees and charges are reviewed annually. Changes to fees will be displayed to members at no less than one month. All monthly deductions will incorporate the changes in charges. Notice of fee changes will be displayed in all leisure facilities and emailed to all members a minimum of one month prior to the change.
Scolton leisure reserve the right to change the rules.
